With the CUS KEY, recent graduate of OCADU, Jin Weon Park has turned the conventions of ergonomic design on their head. Inspired by the diversity of specific keyboards that plague the creative professional, Jin has created a keyboard as unique as its user. By splitting the conventional keyboard into two halves and replacing the fixed buttons with movable magnetic backed keys, the CUS KEY allows the user to adapt their interface to their particular geometry.
The CUS KEY keyboard by Jin Weon Park was awarded the 2011 ideacious select prize for its unique ergonomic resolution and flexibility for today’s digital user. We’re proud to announce that Jin has entered some of his work into the ideacious process, starting with the Puzzle chair; an intriguing embodiment of the culture of Toronto in a flatpack chair.
